ABOUT OUR CANDLES:

MILL CITY MERCANTILE candles are small-batch made and hand-poured in our Lowell, Massachusetts studio from a blend of Coconut-Apricot wax, premium fragrance oils and lead-free cotton wicks.

CANDLE CARE:

Trim the wicks to 1/4” ( 5 mm ) before you light the candle. Trimming your candle wicks prior to each use will help prevent black smoke and keep the container from overheating. Wick trimmers are the best way to trim your candles.

To get the best results from your candle, burn until the wax melts completely across the top creating a “melt pool”. This will allow your candle to burn properly and will maximize the burn time of the candle.

Candle should not burn for more than 3 to 4 hours per burn cycle. When you extinguish your candle, it is best to use a snuffer in order to prevent hot wax from splattering on your face or body.

In order for the candle to look its best, it’s important to keep the container clean. Allow the candle to cool, trim wicks, remove wick debris and then wipe the black residue (soot) with damp cotton pad with some soap and warm water. Do not pour hot wax down drains, it will clog your pipes.

CANDLE SAFETY:

Don’t place your candle in a drafty place. This will cause your candle to burn faster. If candle flame gets too high, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool and trim the wick. When 1/2” (10 mm ) of wax remains in the container, discontinue use of the candle.

Always keep out of reach of children and pets. Never move a lit candle. Candle should be placed on stable, heat resistant surface. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Container may become hot. Store candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Failure to follow instructions could result in fire, hazard or/and injury.

NOTE:

Due to the organic nature of coconut-apricot blend wax, each hand-crafted candle may differ slightly in texture and appearance.
